Sexual Orientation Discrimination Attorneys
What is Sexual Orientation Discrimination?
Wisconsin was the first state in the country to prohibit sexual orientation discrimination and sexual orientation harassment in the workplace.
The Wisconsin Fair Employment Act prohibits discrimination based upon an individual’s status, or perceived status, as a homosexual individual or the individual’s preference for heterosexuality, homosexuality, or bisexuality.
However, Wisconsin law does not protect employees from termination, discipline, or harassment because of the identity of a homosexual partner, or because of an employee’s actions in maintaining a sexual relationship with a specific person.
